Langatun Port Cask Finish has become a classic among Langatun Cask Finishes. Langatun's latest single Cask Port Cask Finish was distilled in 2016, initially matured in an old Chardonnay cask which gives the whisky its filigree sweetness with lovely notes of vanilla and wood. Next, this single malt whisky is transferred to a N°30 port cask for a 2-year post-maturation period, called finish, before being bottled in April 2022. The whisky is thus impregnated with the typical fruity aromas, and the dry fruits of the port come through very well. This wonderfully round, almost six-year-old whisky is limited to 512 bottles. Intense aromas of pine needles, tobacco, candied pineapple, oak, mango, prunes, raisins, orange peel, fresh lime, licorice, cherries and a hint of vanilla.
