The adventure Calibre, Geneva<\/em> began in 2017, yet the collaboration between the brand's two founders, Maurice Koks and Alexis Aazam Zanganeh, dates back a decade earlier, when they met in the Dominican Republic in 2008. Tobacco Master Blender for the former, a well-known figure in the cigar world for the latter, their meeting in Santiago de Los Caballeros, over a glass of rum at the Hotel Hodelpa Gran Almirante, marked the beginning of a most obvious friendship that continues to prove today to be the greatest asset in their professional adventure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Maurice Koks, a 50-year-old Dutchman, is the founder of Intercigar SA, a premium cigar manufacturer based in the Dominican Republic. Living in Santiago de los Caballeros, he is a Tobacco Master Blender, which means he selects and blends the finest tobaccos to create handmade premium cigars. He is particularly fond of fine dining, wine and classic cars. He sees Calibre, Geneva<\/i> the culmination of several years of fruitful collaboration with Alexis Aazam Zanganeh. Alexis Aazam Zanganeh, a 50-year-old Swiss-Iranian, took over the Nyon-based family business from his parents 26 years ago. Over the past twenty years, Alexis has built up a group of companies that today makes La Couronne SA a benchmark in Switzerland and internationally. The 100% family-run group owns several tobacco and premium cigar operations. For La Couronne, the recent addition of La Casa Del Habano is the fulfillment of the family's quest - based on strong values and a passion for cigars - to offer customers a 360\u00b0 cigar experience.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0He sees\u00a0<\/span>Calibre, Geneva<\/i>\u00a0the culmination of several years of fruitful collaboration with Maurice Koks.
